Afroditi
Afroditi is a Greek-born, London-based designer and the creative director of the firm.
They are specialists in category-defining hospitality design, their critically acclaimed portfolio spans bars, restaurants, hotels and cinemas.
SUVLAKI, Restaurant & Brand Design
At the end of 2014, it was approached to re-conceptualise, design and brand an existing Greek restaurant in London’s Soho.
The interior design is based on a palette of blues, from inky petrol blues to bright turquoise hues, have been used throughout the scheme in a myriad of rich textures, finished and patterns. The result is a dark and classic; resourceful and understated.
With a mid-century vibe, Evans wall sconce comes to redefine what luxury is. Its strict form and bright colored details create a contemporary and trendy look.
CURZON CINEMAS, Interior Design
The team aimed to reach a familiar ambiance for this project. The Cinema Home concept defines the look and feel of the space but also how customers would interact with it. The ground floor is abstractly/loosely divided into areas, commonly found in a house.
The overall aesthetic is dark with deep colours and sophisticated materials. The material board is composed of hard surfaces combined with softer finishes such as drapery and leather cladding.
The TwoRuba is the Hilton Tower Bridge’s bar. The concept for the project was based on dualities, reflecting the duality and contrast of the area’s rich historical background: London’s iconic Tower Bridge and the modernity of the surrounding buildings.
The design studio pushes the boundaries of the traditional curtain with a modern interpretation of the room divider using ‘metal mesh drapery’.
HESTON BLUMENTHAL, Restaurant Design
Located in London Heathrow’s Terminal 2 – The Queens Terminal, The Perfectionists’ Café has a quirky design inspired by the 1960’s and 1970’s.
