It’s called SPRIDD and it came to bring a new life to our homes. The newest IKEA furniture collection is totally inspired by music and its different styles and it’s so fresh and eclectic, we had to share it with you!

This new IKEA collection was designed and released in collaboration with fashion designer Kit Neale and is full of bright colors and bold patterns, inspired by youth culture and music.
All the pieces featured in the SPRIDD collection are lightweight and were thought to accommodate an “on-the-go lifestyle”, inspired by youth culture. Meaning dorm living and music festivals. Following this idea, the designers came up with unique patterns for tents, travel mugs, towels, duffel bags, bean bags, paper lanterns, posters, stickers, and colorful storage.
The idea, according to Kit Neale is that “you can just pick them up and chuck them in the car, on the bus, the train or the plane. This is a collection to be moved. Youth is a chaotic period in people’s lives, and maybe the most important. It sets us up for life.”
THE SPRIDD COLLECTION
Below you can find some of the pieces from the very unique SPRIDD Collection.
Each of the four designs presented in the collection are loosely inspired by a different style of music. “I think most of us have experienced the meaning of music when it comes to shaping our identities and for a sense of belonging,” says Henrik Most, Creative Leader at IKEA of Sweden.
However, this partnership with Kit Neale isn’t at all a surprise, seeing that this isn’t the first time IKEA has worked with a fashion designer. In fact, last April they revealed their debut fashion collaboration with menswear designer Katie Eary called GILTIG.
The limited edition SPRIDD collection will be available in stores and online in February.
