It’s not the first time we feature a Parisian-inspired Room of the Week. And that’s no coincidence. A romantic and dreamy city by excellence, Paris is the inspiration for many beautiful home designs. This living room in the Upper West Side is yet another proof of it.

Right at first glance, we can see that this living room design lives off the juxtaposition between the new and the vintage. The modern armchair looks beautiful next to the baroque-like fireplace and mantel. The mixed rugs showcase that harmony in a very clear way. With an ostentatious white rug on top of a geometric-patterned contemporary carpet.
Porcelain details – which we’ve talked about before – also create a lovely contrast in the living room decor.
The open plan living and dining room boasts the most gorgeous and trendy raw white. The flower-patterned chairs are also a nice finishing touch to the room’s design.
Sometimes, the success of an interior design project lies in the smallest details. We believe that the secret for this living room is nothing other than that: choosing the right patterns, the right textures, and putting them in the right place.
