5 HOME DESIGNS TO ACHIEVE IN 2016 FEATURED
January 18th, 2016 by weblog

Home designs: here we bring you a wonderful selection of different looks to your place. Everyone needs to feel comfortable and happy at home. So please enjoy our gallery and choose the perfect style for you!

Scandinavian

Scandinavians know the importance of natural daylight. It’s essential to our well-being, and we tend to be happier when there is more of it.  Because there are so few daylight hours during the winter, Scandinavian homes are designed to let as much light in as possible. Windows are large and kept clear of obstruction.

Painting walls in white or pale shades will make your home look brighter and bounce the light around. Glossy and polished surfaces also help. So ditch the carpet and replace with wooden floors or tiles that have a subtle reflective sheen. And don’t forget mirrors. They can reflect, and thereby increase the amount of light in a room. So hang wall mirrors strategically opposite windows.

Minimalist

The simplicity of Minimalist Interior Design is what defines this concept.
With that in mind one of the most important things to do is planning, organising and make a big clear out of it. Minimalism is king of clutter free, therefore in order for you to get your interior design ideas centred around this design style, spend time deciding what to preserve and what to let go.

There are no ifs and buts about minimalism; it is huge space united with interesting furniture and is a style that comes from Japanese interior design- where everything is reduced to only its necessary elements. Adopt the ‘Less is more’ way of thinking and work with mood boards to expand your ideas. Just create your unique expression of minimalist interiors.

Mid-century modern

Midcentury modern style reappeared on our radar screens more than a decade ago, but the wildly popular show Mad Men has pushed it even further into the limelight. Just as the name implies, it spanned a period of roughly two and a half decades in the middle of the 20th century, from the mid-1940s to 1970. It’s uncomplicated, fresh aesthetic arose from a desire to propel postwar America into the modern era and recast design through a bold new lens.

Midcentury modern’s emphasis on pared-down forms, contemporary patterns, natural materials and a seamless flow between indoors and out create a medley of functional comfort and chic style. The look bridges the organic and the man-made, with one foot in the natural world and the other in brave new territory that still has the power to surprise us today.

Industrial

In recent years the capacity to renovate and give life to old warehouses, barns, and industrial buildings has taken the design world by storm. From rustic exposed finishes and structural elements to industrial inspired lighting fixtures, there is no doubt that industrial details are here to stay. The appeal of bringing back a design age that focused on manufacturing, mechanical ingenuity and appreciating raw and unfinished interiors is a gorgeous way to bring industrial style to your home.

Contemporary

Contemporary by definition means “existing, occurring, or living at the same time; belonging to the same time”. And that is explicitly the same for the use of the term in interior design. Contemporary design is what is popular or used right now. Contemporary design can be very eclectic for that reason, because it is ever changing and borrows pieces and styles from all different eras. It doesn’t have to be something that is “designed” right now – for example; furniture and art from the modern era are often used in contemporary design, and tradition mouldings and millwork are incorporated in many cases.

Right now a contemporary home might incorporate large windows, unique or odd shapes, open plan and harmony with the surrounding landscape. The finishes would use a lot of natural elements such as fir or cedar and stone. The finishing details and furniture are in ornate and use clean lines. Comfort and sustainability are key values that are important in a contemporary home.
