Janis Lyn Joplin was born on January 19, 1943, and unfortunately died on October 4, 1970. This amazing artist was nicknamed “Pearl”, and she was an American rock, soul and blues singer and songwriter, and one of the most successful and widely-known female rock stars of her era.
After releasing three albums, she died of a heroin overdose at the age of 27. A fourth album, Pearl, was released in January 1971, just over three months after her death and it reached number one on the Billboard charts.
From June 28 to July 4, 1970, the year of her death, Joplin and Full Tilt Boogie joined the all-star Festival Express train tour through Canada, performing alongside many other artists. They played concerts in Toronto, Winnipeg, and Calgary. Joplin jammed with the other performers on the train, and her performances on this tour are considered to be among her greatest.
Joplin had a profound influence on many singers. For example, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine spoke of Joplin’s impact, in an interview that appeared in a commercial against piracy. And like her, many other artists.
She was a major inspiration for everyone. Despite the lifestyle she was living and the way she died, we believe that she still is one of the biggest musicians of all-time! So let’s celebrate her life, by bringing her into our house design. How? With these lighting designs.

Your office should embody your company’s values in a way that makes everyone at work feeling great. You don’t want people walking into the office with a bad first impression because the office design needs a facelift.
Take these ideas to adorn your office with elements that keep you and your team productive, inspired and motivated every day!
It’s important to give your employees the freedom to style their own office design concept. Because everyone has their own taste and personal style when it comes to decor, encourage your team to integrate any elements that will keep them motivated throughout the day.
This can be something simple like a colorful planner that keeps them on track or something extravagant like a mural of their favorite artist, or even small things like little fake plants.
TIP: Good lighting is one of the most important elements of a well-designed office. Your space can be equipped with the most unique furniture, the best color combinations and chic desks, but none of that will truly shine unless you have the right lighting designs.
Since natural lighting is always best, keep all window areas unobstructed to fill your workspace with as much natural light as possible. Let the sun invade your work table and worm your heart!
Food is one of the biggest things that can impact your mood. That is why setting up a colorful display of snacks is an inviting and enticing way to get your team eating healthy throughout the day so they can stay sharp and focused.
Put a fruit bowl, snack bars, and bottled water out for everyone to grab when they’re in need of some brain fuel. The color of all the fruits will make a nice combination with a more simple interior design.
This detail can make a difference not just in the office but also in any house design. Rugs are a great way of outlining various spaces without creating physical barriers. If you have a larger space with multiple sections, separate those areas with rugs.
Or, if your office is smaller, you can still add rugs. Put them underneath furniture or add one directly outside of your office doors. Even one or two can really liven your space up.
Think about creating an enlarged picture of your company’s mission statement and plastering it in a common area.
Seeing your company’s mission on display every time you walk to the printer can be an effective way to showcase the values your business embodies, and a great reminder to carry them out.
Do you and your team set aside time for philanthropic ventures? Or perhaps designate one day out of the month to do a team-building activity?
Turn those good teamworking times into memories by snapping photos of your efforts and framing them around the office. Glancing at them when you walk in the room will remind you how good it feels to keep the good deeds going.

This is the kind of boldness your house design is begging for. It’s time to take some risks and see where this takes you.
The under-stair area is historically a place to stash away any unsightly stuff. So, instead of cramming everything haphazardly into a cupboard, consider breaking the area up into shelves or drawers. that way, space will work harder for you – it’ll make locating things much easier too.
Think about including different shapes and sizes of cupboards to hide away everything from brooms and brollies to ironing boards. These hall stairs and decoration ideas will improve the storage in your house but still be looking good.
Line your hallway ideas with a bit of comfort: a plush and cozy rug. Choose a neutral rug like one with black and white, or opt for a more colorful design.
This way the entry wall will look less empty and it perfectly complements the other elements in the room. Not just a summer decor, but during all seasons!

Designing a bathroom might seem a daunting task, but with our bathroom ideas and expert advice, it needn’t be. There are several essential elements to consider when you think about, master bathroom design – which style are you going for? Is it traditional? Is it modern? Don’t worry, we got you!
First things first, let’s talk about how you can make your bathroom, a holy space! This might be one of the hardest parts of the house to decorate because when you think about home decoration ideas you think about styling your sofa, your office table or your wardrobe. Not your bathroom.
That is the main reason we decided to talk about this topic today. We want to be the platform where you look for inspiration and be the ones you come from whatever are your needs. So let’s start with the modern, shall we?
Marble is one of the trends of the year, and it’s amazing because you can’t go wrong with marble. Add a textural note to a bathroom scheme with Carrara marble tiles arranged in a herringbone pattern. The same tiles have been used on the bath surround as on the walls, creating a seamless look. Shower screens may be a necessity but, with its barely there looks, this one poses no threat to the main decorative feature. A bright look, for the perfect summer decor!
A space-saving wall niche helps maintain the streamlined appearance of this bathroom design. Wall-mounted taps also help to keep the look uncluttered by mundane pieces. Simple sophistication is the key, with beautiful tiling and a large tub just made for a good soak. The secret to a trendy bathroom, whether it’s modern or vintage, it’s the combination of colors. If you want to go modern, just keep it sophisticated and neutral.
Cheer up and energize your wash space with vibrant towels and facecloths with contrasting borders, fringing, and woven details. Arrange them on a rustic ladder for a stylish storage solution. Bring in natural foliage for a fresh accent of color. We have to admit this is our favorite style for every house design.
This spacious-feeling bathroom shows just how roomy an attic en-suite can be. Even with sloped ceilings on both sides, the room manages to feel open and light. Choose a large bath instead of a shower, as you might struggle to find the head height.
Give your bathroom an extra-special feel with polished plaster. Rather than a solid paint color, the plaster here has subtle variations in tone and a sheeny finish that reflects light. A freestanding bath makes the look even more luxurious and is a good match for the walls. The perfect traditional style for your home decor.
Add hotel chic to your bathroom with a traditional freestanding tub. A beautiful bath is all you need to make your space feel special – position it beneath a window so you can enjoy a view while you soak away the day. Bunting and a brightly painted vintage shelving unit in water-inspired aqua shades are a very appropriate choice of color. The smartest choice for your bathroom design.
We hope you enjoyed our collection of bathroom ideas for you. What do you think? Are you inspired to redesign your second holy space, aka bathroom? Our kitchens are where we cook, eat, entertain and socialize, so it’s important to create a kitchen design that ticks all these boxes – and more. If you’re on a tight budget consider revamping kitchen cabinets or investing in some new kitchen worktops to refresh the style and add years of service to the busiest room in the house.
Renovating a kitchen is a smart bet for increasing the value of your home, so that beautiful makeover could turn into a great investment for the future. Ready to get started? See here the steps to achieve your dream kitchen space!
Choosing a new kitchen is one of the most exciting projects when it comes to renovating the home decor. It can also be the most expensive, stressful and time-consuming. From picking the right style to finding a designer and agreeing on the layout, there’s a lot to take on board. However tempted, you are to rush into a showroom and choose your design, it’s vital that you take plenty of time to consider what it is you really want.
First, have a good clear-out, so you’re not factoring in items you haven’t used for years. Now take a look around your existing kitchen and make a list of all the things you like and dislike about it. This could be anything from how much storage there is – and where it is – to the types of appliances and color of the cabinetry. This will help you focus on retaining or improving particular aspects. Time to do a proper summer decor!
Will you be using existing plumbing for sinks and appliances or will you require additional pipework? If you’re planning to include a kitchen island containing a sink or other appliances in your design, you need to ensure that plumbing and electricity supplies are in place before flooring is laid. This is a very important issue to take into consideration when it comes to house design.
When planning lighting it’s a good idea to make the system quite flexible so you can regulate the areas of your kitchen independently. Secondary lighting, such as spots above cooking and preparation areas, is also useful. Lighting can have a very powerful statement in any area, for example, using lights you can make the illusion of a more open kitchen design.
How you want your kitchen to look is, of course, a very personal choice. It really helps to collect images and magazine tear sheets and put together a scrapbook or mood board. Also, make a note of surfaces, materials or accessories you’ve seen that work well together. Decoration ideas will make easier to decide what you want to do with your own decor.
If there’s any brand that could take the best out of any room using just lighting designs, that would be DelightFULL. Contact them and they will help you decide which lamp perfectly fits your needs. By now, you already know how much we love them, it’s up to you to fall in love too!

Dream More Here: HOUSE TOUR: MEET CRISTIANO RONALDO LUXURY HOUSE
Located in the medieval town of Novigrad in Croatia, House Sperone blends seamlessly into its historic surroundings. The architects and designers of House Sperone hoped to create a house design that represented a perfect fusion between old and new.
They worked to carefully retain the house’s sense of character and allowed historic features, such as the stone walls, to shine through. At the same time, House Sperone is not short of modern creature comforts. The ground floor is occupied by a spa, sauna and stunning infinity pool that appears to melt into the sea beyond it. The interior design decor is kept simple and clean, with natural materials and neutral colors used throughout to reflect its coastal surroundings.
At this location, there was a disco club Sperone which was completely removed, and throughout history, it was also known as the city’s wine cellars. The desire of the owner was to build a luxurious 5-star holiday home at an extremely attractive location. Besides the things we already told you, the house has 4 bedrooms, living area, wellness, and all combined results in a place where we can meet the needs of the most discerning guests.
The volume of the house is fully defined by the surrounding buildings: on the east and south side with the old city walls, from the west with city garden and the beach and on the north side with neighboring houses. The outer edge of the house follows the border of the building plot to maximize the use of its limited surface.
All rooms in the house have visual contact with the sea and/or walls, which results in a unique and sophisticated atmosphere. Isn’t this the perfect place? Special attention was paid to preserve the walls and avoid any structural compounds. Therefore, the impression is that the staircase is hovering alongside the walls.
The upper floor, for the most part, contains daily spaces – living room, kitchen and dining area incorporated in a whole. Its elegant structure allows uninterrupted views of the sea and the stone walls all over the living area. In front of the living area, there is a large terrace directly connected to the house interior with sliding glass walls. Terrace as outdoor living room becomes an integral part of the interior. From three sides terrace can be closed with automated shades that besides protection from the sun provide an additional sense of intimacy.
One of the most attractive parts of the house is a rooftop terrace with spectacular view of the sea and the roofs of the old town of Novigrad offering the possibility for contemplation and enjoyment. Besides the pool, obviously, this is the part of this luxury design that we enjoy the most!
The interior is designed using natural materials and neutral earth tones to create a warm atmosphere, while the furniture lines are very clean and modern.
