THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS
May 27th, 2015 by weblog

While visiting Unique Blog, we found an interesting article about lighting bulbs which we believe that can be very helpful for all the interior designers. This article refers the different types of bulbs that exist, teaches you how to choose energy-efficient lighting and informs you about all the lighting bulbs you can find at the market. Let’s see the article:

Three of the most common energy-efficient lighting types include halogen incandescent bulbs, CFLs, and LEDs. Let’s see the characteristics of each one of those lighting bulbs.

LEDS

THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS LIGHTING BULBS THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS led lighting bulbs1

The light emitting diode (LED) are semiconductors that convert electricity into light. LEDs are a type of solid-state lighting and are one of the today’s most energy-efficient and rapidly-developing technologies. The thing is that this kind of lighting use only 20%–25% of the energy and last up to 25 times longer than the traditional incandescent bulbs. More: LEDs use 25%–30% of the energy and last 8 to 25 times longer than halogen incandescents, as well. LEDs are more expensive but they still save money because they last a long time and have very low energy use.

HALOGEN INCANDESCENT LIGHTING BULBS

THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS LIGHTING BULBS THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS halogen incandescent bulbs

This kind of lamps has a capsule inside that holds gas around a filament to increase bulb efficiency. They are available in a wide range of shapes and colors, and they can be used with dimmers.

Traditional incandescent and halogen incandescent bulbs may be confused. As you can read here, both incandescent and halogen bulbs are based on the concept of two parallel metal wires transmitting an electrical current to a tungsten filament that connects them, heating the filament to a point where its heat is reflected as light and they both put a glass housing around the wires and filaments to amplify the light that is produced. The major difference between an incandescent bulb and a halogen bulb is the gases that each produces within its glass bulb. The purpose of gas production is the same in that it is meant to slow evaporation of the filament and keep it from rusting. Both incandescent and halogen bulbs go dark when the filament wears out. Incandescent bulbs fill with a mixture of 93 percent argon and seven percent nitrogen, both of which are inert gases. A halogen bulb adds a halogen gas, such as iodine or bromine, creating a chemical reaction that regenerates evaporated tungsten and puts it back on the filament, helping to extend the filament’s life and, therefore, the life of the light bulb. However, incandescent bulbs are less efficient than halogen bulbs are, using about 90 percent of the energy that they consume to produce heat and turning less than five percent of it into the light.

THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS LIGHTING BULBS THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS incandescent bulb versus traditional

CFLS

THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS LIGHTING BULBS THE BEST LIGHTING BULBS FOR YOUR LAMPS cfl bulbs

Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) are simply curly versions of the long tube fluorescent lights you may already have in your kitchen or garage. This kind of lamps uses about one-fourth less energy than traditional incandescents and lasts ten times longer than a comparable traditional incandescent bulb that puts out the same amount of light. A CFL uses about one-third the energy of a halogen incandescent. CFL bulbs are available in a range of light colors, including warm (white to yellow) tones that were not as available when first introduced. Some are encased in a cover to further diffuse the light and provide a similar shape to the bulbs you are replacing. Fluorescent bulbs contain a small amount of mercury, and they should always be recycled at the end of their lifespan.

Hello, lovers!

For interior designers, architects or simply decor lovers, here we are again to give the best tips. At least, we try.

Winter is a difficult season, and we tend to be a little bit downer and sad. For that reason we use to wear black clothes, to use dark acessories and guess what? We tend to keep our home decor so dark that it turns out to leave our spirit even lower.

This situation must stop, and it must stop right now!

Today we bring you some tips on how to decorate your modern living room with blue shades. But in a happy way!

10 Modern living rooms 10 Modern living rooms: tips on how to be happy with winter blues 10 Modern living rooms10 Modern living rooms 9 10 Modern living rooms: tips on how to be happy with winter blues 10 Modern living rooms 910 Modern living rooms 3 10 Modern living rooms: tips on how to be happy with winter blues 10 Modern living rooms 310 Modern living rooms 2 10 Modern living rooms: tips on how to be happy with winter blues 10 Modern living rooms 210 Modern living rooms 4 10 Modern living rooms: tips on how to be happy with winter blues 10 Modern living rooms 4

If you have blue painted walls you should use another colors for the decoration. We recommend strong and happy colors like purple, pink, orange, yellow and metallic shades, like gold an copper. Golden and blue really is a great and modern color combo. Use it!
