SJB designed this incredible contemporary home design in a small Australian town. Located in Rye, the renovation of the small pavilion-style house draws inspiration from the Japanese architecture and natural materials.
Set up for an indoor/outdoor living, at the front of the house, steps lead up to a small patio that leads directly into the living room through a large sliding glass door.
The living room layout, with an L shaped couch, is meant to have the focus on the fireplace and its black surroundings while running along the wall is a bench that wraps around and becomes the stairs and the fireplace hearth.
“Quiet, calming and restorative. The simple touch given to this renovation project delivers a home that is serene and tranquil allowing its owners to revive and recharge away from busy professional careers. A minimalist approach employed throughout creating a home that is unpretentious yet adorned with functional quality.”, the designers.
The architectural house design has several spaces for you to look into. The dining room with a large floor-to-ceiling wood cabinet adds a natural touch to space and ties in with the floating wood shelf under the vanity.
Hanna is a vintage pendant lamp, elegantly made in brass by artisans who applied delicately an ancient technique called hand metal spinning, if you style the pendant lamp alongside a mid-century decor it will provide your room with a striking, elegant look. While Basie is a vintage table light distinct features that make it stand out in any room setting. Looking its best in more formal settings, this graciously large table lamp is the perfect fit for a classic living room or entryway.
