London Design Week will be on in 4 days and Decorex International is one of the greatest events of this festival.
Created for the luxury interiors market, Black Edition offers exclusively designed collections infused with rich, contemporary elegance. Blending sophisticated textures, innovative weaving techniques and artisan effects with a visionary colour palette.
Contemporary fabric innovation meets retro sophistication in the Zenith, Iridos & Musa collections by Black Edition that will be launched at Decorex this September 2015. The new collections will be showcased at the following shows and will be available internationally through selected interior designers and retailers.
Zenith is an opulent collection of thirteen upholstery weaves given the distinctive Black Edition edge using innovative modern weaving techniques to enhance each design.
The collection comprises an amalgamation of original designs including Zenith, a jacquard woven velvet with an eye-catching, digitally printed chevron design that sits playfully misaligned with the weave.
Limbali is a contemporary velvet and chenille weave displaying a novel contrast of texture and colour.
Orosi features richly coloured velvet hexagons woven on a distinctive metallic-effect ground. Several textural weaves complete the collection, each with their own subtle eccentricities including Abiko, a textured chenille punctuated by a metallic-effect ribbon that adds a glamorous touch to a practical upholstery weave, whilst the mosaic-like structure of Quanta creates a textural design with a contemporary pixelated effect.
A palette of rich jewel like tones in mallard green, deep purple and teal blue complement warm neutrals and metallic tonal shades.
Iridos features ten lightweight, sheer and semi-sheer weaves inspired by an assortment of natural components including oxidised metals and earthy mineral tones and textures.
Iridos, an Agate inspired design sees a fusion of matt and metallic effect yarns whilst Lucia , a modern lightweight weave with an antiqued appeal, uses a combination of linen and viscose yarns to create a three dimensional geometric design with a glamorous sheen.
Elias uses a yarn shrinkage process to create the crackled textured finish of this lustrous jacquard weave whilst an intricate embroidery design gives Zardosi the appearance of abstract animalia adding a contemporary edge to this lustrous semi-sheer.
Musa, a luxurious plain viscose velvet is presented in an assortment of irresistible shades, from pastel pinks to rich greens and blues and new tonal shades of rust and copper.
A wonderfully deep pile with an irresistibly soft touch evokes opulence whilst a Teflon coating adds a practical, stain-repellent finish to this extremely sumptuous fabric.

Swabdesign presented at Maison et Objet the collection of the MOB table lamp with its new finishes and variations. The MOB is now available in 5 colors in its ash wood version as for the wall lamp. The V BOX, elegant and surprising shelf, will be presented in natural MDF white on the outside. The visual effect is dynamic and well structured: the designer was inspired by the cubic architecture. As usual, swabdesign will present a bike, this time inspired by Mother Nature.
The neo-retro design of the MOB lamp is inspired of the mopeds of the sixties. Its rectangular diffuser is equipped with a low voltage halogen bulb and a spherical metallic reflector for a very high brightness with only 20 watts. Available in many colors, the MOB lamp offers more than one hundred combinations.
The wall cabinet V-BOX consists of five square cells of equal si zes but of varying depths. The deepest cell is ideal for storing books and magazines, while the shallower allows you to show a decorative object or a picture frame.
Come on, to the countryside withe the fixie bike SUPER GREEEN. Some Wood, some grass (the lawn is regularly mowed of course), the saddle made of natural rubber and cotton, and the wooden crate… Let’s go!!

A unique ceiling fixture handmade in brass and with its lampshades in aluminum reinvented with today’s technical components and finishes. Available in the 6 or 15 arms version.
Incisive forms and contrasts characterize Peggy as a pending fixture with a funky character. Very elegant and with a 60’s feel. Its structure is handmade in brass and the top cover in perforated steel. It also offers the choice of having only 4 of the 8 diffusers lit on.

This lovely Swedish retro home abounds with creative design elements. The designers of this ground floor crib cleverly took advantage of its location, by improvising an inviting terrace. As you enter, an unconventional hallway (situated below level) greets you, hinting the way towards the open plan living and dining area. Unlike other Swedish homes, this crib is “filled up” with interesting decorating elements, as if deliberately avoiding minimalism, despite the existence of some modern furniture pieces.
Warmth is exhibited throughout; a magic display of textures make you wonder about this apartment, wanting to feel the touch of the cushion covers, carpets, blankets or even painting frames. All interiors exhibit the same peace-inducing color palette in soft hues of beige, with natural light playing a major role in the overall design scheme. We don’t know about you guys, but to us this place comes pretty close to what a real home should look like.
The living room has a nice touch o copper accents, like the lamps or the candle stick, along with some vintage and shabby accessories and furniture. The sepia color enhances this retro modern look.
Another interesting decorative aspect are the carefully placed little animals around the house. It makes this clean design so much fluffier.
