Turns out that designboom has been invited to the hansgrohe factory in order to preview the new AXOR collection before it goes to ISH in frankfurt (that is just the world’s leading trade fair in the bathroom sector) and Home Design ideas is sharing the news with you.
“Philippe starck‘s collaboration with AXOR, designer brand of hansgrohe, has seen the french designer reshape the traditional aesthetic of the bathroom mixer through the introduction of softer shapes and flowing lines”, you can read here.
The designer, together with this bathroom design brand, has accomplished a design that brings forth a transparent and sculptural washbasin mixer, removing the gap between the functional and the emotional aspects of water at the washbasin.

Grey is definitely one of the hottest interiors colors of the recent past. Available in a multitude of hues and shades, gray has become the ‘go to’ color for both interior designers and home owners.
The contemporary trend of stylish and sleek interiors with clean and well defined lines is a part of the reason. With subtle shades of semi-minimalism and neutral settings gaining popularity, gray has shot into spotlight.
Beautiful, diverse and providing the perfect backdrop for accent colors, gray is elegant, sophisticated and understated.
From the cooler hues to the warmer tones, the contrast offered by different gray shades allows you to embrace a flowing basic color scheme for your entire home with apt variations. Perfect for every nook of the house, it can blend seamlessly with other vibrant tones. Yet, even as a standalone color, gray is both rich and refined.
Today’s trendiest neutral, gray, is perfect for a bedroom. This shade can appear either warm or cool and creates a restful backdrop in a traditional, modern, cottage or any style bedroom retreat. Proof that neutrals need never be boring, this bedroom are a winning combination of subtle shades in a very tight palette.
The eclectic style it is characterized by the fact that it is not a particular style. It is the borrowing of a variety of styles, ideas and theories, drawn from different time periods and different origins and combining them within a single project.
Of course, a lot of efforts, thoughts, and creativity is necessary in order to make the project in eclectic style look great and at the same time logically interconnected. More than just throwing everything together, eclectic design works to make all these different styles work cohesively. Elements are thoughtfully connected with the other parts of the style in the room. Colors tend to be neutral to further help these different influences come together and avoid the chaotic look with the other features of the design.
One can create a combination of all the different styles such as Vintage, Traditional, Country, Contemporary, Rustic, Tropical, Shabby Chic, Industrial, Minimalistic, Ethnic, Cozy and achieve amazing results.
It can sometimes seem inelegant or lacking in simplicity, eclectics are also sometimes criticized for expressing a lack of consistency.
But with an eclectic mix one can simply overcome a stylistic stagnation and easily innovate and suit the interior to the needs and personalities of their owners, be it a neo-classicist assortment or some new age fun with a vintage feel.
Letting go of rigid stylistic boundaries and figuring out what is your style can be great fun and can certanly help you getting a great interior design project. So… what is your style?
