Is your attic currently only being used for storage? If so, you’re not alone. Too many of us are guilty of taking older or rarely used items and burying them up in the attic, never to be thought of again. Unfortunately, though, while this organizational method may be common, it’s causing us to miss out on a great opportunity to create something special. Until this moment!
In fact, your attic may have more potential than any unused space in your home. When remodeled correctly, it can be transformed into anything you can dream up, from a much-needed home office to a full-on studio space that’s perfect for hosting longer-term guests.
You can either go a more vintage industrial style or a more modern one, there’s a lot to do and we have lots of ideas too! Transforming the space into a cozy home office is one of the best ideas. You can still have storage, but an organized storage this time.
Another idea that just popped up is to transform your attic design in a laid-back playroom or teen hangout space. If you have kids, this idea is especially for you, because you will be creating a space where they can hang out with friends, or do homework.
Basically, you are creating something where they can relax after a long day of school without leaving your living room decor all messy, or even their bedroom, so we are guessing this is something you should consider doing.
If you don’t know what to do with your attic, you should totally give your kids (or grandkids, or just for you) a bedroom of their own. Do you know how many people wish their bedroom was an ‘attic-bedroom’? Well, I wanted to, so I am kind of mad that I didn’t think about this a few years back.
Let your kids have their own space, you can mix the bedroom with a small living room of a playroom for them as well. Many ideas guys, many ideas that we have here, you just have to ask!
Finishing or brainstorming of ideas, you can also go big with a studio or in-law suite. You deserve to have a treat for yourself too! So if you need somewhere to work inside your own house design, you should transform your attic into your own inspiration/artsy studio.
Or you can just turn it into a king size bedroom just for you. Because you deserve it. Make sure you have a suite hotel decor worthy. Let’s do this home makeover together!
