The Belmond Andean Explorer is a luxury sleeper train that travels through the Peruvian Andes. It transports up to 48 passengers through the lovely country that is Peru. As the interior designer of this project says ““I wanted to connect the interior with the location and make it a holistic journey of discovery. The ‘journey’ starts with the immediate surroundings—a place to calm the senses, enable a new state of ‘slow living’ and relaxation whilst connecting with nature.” that is everything we want you to feel. Come along and check this out!
The train’s interior was designed by London-based Muza Lab, interior designer Inge Moore, and it’s inspired by the local Peruvian culture and landscape.
This amazing train pays homage to the golden age of train travel, enhanced with vibrant colors and textures of the Peruvian culture.
Once again, as inspiration, each cabin is named after Peruvian flora and fauna.Touches of vibrant colors and varying textures are found throughout the train. A rich spectrum of Peruvian artistry, from bold, contemporary graphics to detailed, hand-drawn antique maps.
Inside this magnificent luxury sleeper train exists a piano car bar, an observation car, a boutique, a library and dining cars. In addition to the comfortable beds, vibrant tapestries can be found in each car as well as baby alpaca blankets for extra chilly nights.
Even the smallest detail speaks to the country’s rich culture, such as the brass room keys in the shape of the Chakana Cross – a symbol of the Incan civilization as well as the train’s crest.
