Jaques Grange is without a doubt one of the best interior designers and decorators in the world. Known for his exquisite style, characterized by a harmony between traditional and contemporary tastes, Grange is one of the very few interior designers who received a strict, classical education in the field. He decorated and designed interiors for some of the biggest and most respected personalities and tastemakers. His main customers included Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, for whom he decorated the Château Gabriel, in Benerville-sur-Mer. So, check out these incredible design projects by Jacques Grange!

1) Historic Townhouse
His particular style, so effortless that it has been described as not decorated at all, appears as timeless and everlasting, thanks to the influences of his academic education and the various important figures that have shaped his artistic persona: his strict education started at 15, when he enrolled at the École Boulle to study gilding, plaster carving, cabinetmaking and upholstery and then at the École Camondo for interior design.

A spider sculpture by Louise Bourgeois and an Anselm Kiefer painting overlook the sitting room of a London home by Jacques Grange. At right, a Gérard Drouillet ceramic sculpture sits on a 1960s lacquered-wood side table; the vintage carpet is by Ernest Boiceau.
