Unique pieces with Portuguese finest craftsmanship techniques make for a stunning mid-century collection in partnership with luxury furniture brand Essential Home! The Italian design legend has been working on this special collection for the past few months, and we’re sure that these are the mid-century curated pieces that are missing in your design projects!

With its taste for bright colors and the typical upholstery with geometric patterns, the mid-century era continues to be one of the most loved in design, and so this collection brings the best of it with a touch of modernity that no one will resist! Referencing the inspiring design concepts of the post-war period, that was marked by iconic personalities, like Gio Ponti and Franco Albini, the Carlo Donati Studio combined forces with one of the top mid-century furniture brands to create a memorable collection that combines style, high-quality material, fine craftsmanship techniques with a touch of history.
Named after one of the best Italian cinema personalities (Alberto Sordi), the smooth curvilinear lines of the wooden legs of this unique furniture piece take inspiration from the architectural shapes of Oscar Niemeyer’s concrete structures. He considers it a design mirage, defined by its modern, functional, and aesthetic concepts. With its cheerful colors and amazing views, Palm Springs was once a kind of Dolce Vita destination for Hollywood stars like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.
These same curvilinear lines are found in the sophisticated design of the Vittorio sideboard, named after the great Vittorio Gassman. The combination of the wooden black lacquered H shaped legs with a walnut wood body and recessed golden handles, recall the lines of a blooming flower.
