1. R. Giger Museum Bar,Gruyères, Switzerland
The interior of the bars are themed along the lines of his biomechanical style as shown in the Alien films. The roof, walls, fittings and chairs are all modelled by the artist and fit into the same designs as seen in the films he designed, notably “Alien”. The prominent high-backed chair design was originally intended as a Harkonnen throne for an abandoned Dune film project and example of restaurant interior design.
2. Truth Cafe, Cape Town, South Africa

Piet Boon’s Amsterdam studio worked with lighting designers. PSLAB and artists Studio Job on the interior of The Jane restaurant, combining modern elements with the chapel’s high ceilings and patterned tile floor.

Bicycle Bar in Bucharest, Romania gladly accepts donations of used bicycles and related items in restaurant interior design. Located in a central, historical area, the bar is a friendly place that aims to shelter lots of exhibitions, musical sessions, workshops or any other event contemporary artists from different fields want to organize. The designers had a really original way of recycling parts of bicycles, realizing pieces of furniture from vintage items.
Table legs extend up to look like tree trunks and branches at this cafe in Tokyo by Japanese studio id. The interior, graphics and products were designed by id for the Ki cafe, named after the Japanese word for tree. The monochrome space features black steel poles that resemble the shapes of bare trees.

Lighting projectors and cables hang from the spindly branches of chunky black trees inside this penthouse bar and nightclub in Paris by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur. Named Electric, the music venue features soundproofed music rooms, an outdoor terrace and a dance floor facing out over the city skyline.
