Will all know that wooden chairs are perfect for almost every different kind of home style! The Chinese studio Atelier Deshaus, led by Liu Yichun, has designed a cool one. The Sylph chair features a back made from a continuous piece of tubular steel, curved by hand to look like a line drawing. Let’s get to know better this great design furniture piece. Take a look!
The white powder-coated steel has various shapes on the Sylph designs and extends all the way to the floor to form the chairs’ rear legs. This chair has wooden front legs and a matching seat that slopes gently upwards at the back.
The line-drawn style in the back of the chair, created by the tubular framework, can also be seen in Max Voytenko’s zigzagging shelves and tables.
The Atelier Deshaus’ architectural projects have included a contemporary art gallery in Shanghai built around an industrial structure, and also a youth centre with a layer of perforated aluminium covering its exterior.
