When we heard the word “selfie“, the first image who cames to our minds is from Kim Kardashian. She really is the QUEEN of the selfies and she has published a book recently about the subject.

Snapping selfies and instantly sharing them on social media can be seen as an obsession, that’s why the photographer Mike Mellia developed a humorous self-portrait series that reflects our selfie-obsessed society… But in a funny way.

‘A Selfie a Day Keeps the Doctor Away’ is a provocative work that aims to call our attention for this narcissistic culture we are in. Mellia made his point by photographing himself dressed in different costumes and using some crazy, dry, witty quotes meant to sound deep and thoughtful.
