Inner City Warehouse is located in Sydney, Australia. The previous warehouse was turned into a wonderful retreat with some hidden spaces for you to have some personal time without feeling out of place. The architectural firm Allen Jack+Cottier was responsible for this modern home design.
In the Surry Hills Warehouse, this modern house design was built in a carbon-fibre pod that was positioned on the warehouse’s upper floor. In this two-story house, there’s plenty of colour around and the mixture between open living while having a small retreat within works wonders.
Once a food manufacturer now a private residence. Along with an indoor pool, music room, living room, four bedrooms and a terrace, the really special aspect is a hidden pod inside. Creating privacy and relaxation, this sleeping pod is in the middle of the upper floor. With a futuristic intake, the creators say “As the warehouse’s central feature, the pod organises and informs the spaces around it, while providing a private cocoon for rest and privacy.”
This modern interior design is filled with colour, mixing furniture and styles. The kitchen presents an industrial interior design with the wood panelling and metallic touches while the bedroom is a space filled with natural light and rustic touches.
The terrace is destined to be a relaxing space, full of natural light, plants and indoor place to feel cosy is completed with the big window that gives room to the living room.
