Dreamy Scandinavian Interior Design From A Portuguese Rural Hotel

Scandinavian interior design is one of our most found passions. Here at Home Design Ideas, we love everything connected to that style, so when we heard about this amazing rural hotel in southern Portugal that was not only vintage, but also boasted an incredible scandinavian vibe, we had to check it out!

Agrotourism is getting more and more trendy, and Pensão Agrícola is a beautiful hotel in Portugal lets you do it with a lot of style… Scandinavian style!

SHALL WE GO INSIDE?

Located in a small town in the historic village of Tavira and Cacela Velha in southern Portugal, the building that hosts Pensão Agrícola was built in the 1920’s and given as a wedding gift to the owner’s daughter, who had it working as a farm until 1970.

All the rooms feature a minimalist style, with white-washed with warm wood tones against the cool, slate floors. There are also wooden details all across the hotel, which make it look more rustic and authentic.

Nowadays – and after a careful restoration – the old working farm operates as a charming rural hotel. Transporting its guests to the mid 20th century, many of the decor is not only Scandinavian but also vintage, creating the perfect quaint atmosphere.

Pensão Agrícola’s outdoor spaces follow the indoor decor sidelines and maintain a nostalgic and nordic vibe. There’s also color everywhere, and being located in a sunny village like Tavira is nothing but a big plus! Everything looks more beautiful and inviting when the sun’s out and the sea is so nearby.

Adding to the idyllic outdoor design there’s an incredible plunge pool and a small lounge area, perfect for those sunny afternoons spent by the pool.
